The Drayton Manor Woodlands Project. Volunteers Page In its 4th year we have now cleared much of the invasive species such as Rhododendron. We are continuing to manage the area with local wildlife in mind.

Founded in 2008 and run by Robin Roberts and Ben Murcott the project was started with the aim of restoring the 17 acre woodland located on the Drayton Manor estate, managing the land so to enhance and encourage native species. Creating habitats for invertebrates, dormice and other woodland species.

We have had a very busy May and June on the project along with many positive changes on site in recent months. We will be posting regular updates and information on events and up coming surveys soon, along with our regular volunteer dates. After removing so much Rhododendron from the site it has been fantastic seeing native flora creep back onto the land. We now have increasing areas of Bluebells, snowdrops as well as other natives. Not to sure where this came from though!
