Bramley PC has been seeking clarification on the consultation deadline. The Borough Council tell us that this remains 11th June. However, the application will not be decided before 30th June, and any comments received up until that date will be considered.
Bramley Parish Council has submitted its objection to this application, which can be found on the Bramley PC website https://bramley-pc.gov.uk/26-00887-out-land-at-bramley-meadows-bramley-pc-objection/
The Extraordinary meeting on 17th June will still go ahead.

URGENT - Can You Help Ensure Every Resident Has a Voice?
The Parish Council is aware that some residents, particularly those who are not active on social media, may not yet be aware of the proposed development or the Extraordinary Parish Meeting being held in the Village Hall on 17 June.
We want to ensure that everyone in the community has the opportunity to learn about the proposal, consider its potential impact, and attend the meeting if they wish.
To help achieve this, we are seeking volunteers to assist with the delivery of information leaflets across the village. Deliveries will need to be completed by, or over, the weekend of 13–14 June.
If you are able to help, please email [email protected] with:
• Your name
• Your preferred road(s) for delivery
• Any additional roads you would be willing to cover if your first choice has already been allocated
The more volunteers who come forward, the smaller the area each person will need to cover. Even a small amount of your time can help ensure that all residents are informed and able to participate in this important community discussion.
Thank you for your support.

COOPERS LANE ROAD CLOSURE - 22nd May

Further to recent concerns about the changing date of the road closure at Coopers Lane, and a Bramley PC letter of complaint, we have received the following from HCC Highways:

'Please accept my sincere apologies for the changes to the proposed dates, and for the operational and communication issues relating to the works at Cooper Lane. I appreciate the frustration and inconvenience this may have caused.
I can confirm that the works have now been re-programmed to take place on Friday 22nd May, weather permitting. The works are expected to be completed within one day, with a second visit planned for the 29th May 2026 to apply a lockdown coat. The road will be closed anytime between approximately 05:00 and 22:00 hours.
As this type of work is extremely weather dependent, there remains a possibility that the date may change again. Should this occur, we will endeavour to provide an update to you and all stakeholders as soon as possible.
Information letters will be hand delivered to residents and businesses 24 - 48 hours prior to the works taking place.'

Now that we have a planning application, Bramley PC will be considering it at an Extraordinary public meeting – date to be confirmed. Please note that Bramley PC is not the planning authority in this instance – we are a consultee only. We would encourage all residents to make your own representations to Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council via the planning portal. For information on how to do this, please see the Bramley PC website www.bramley-pc.gov.uk/planning-applications/submitting-comments-on-planning-applications/ . The application can be found online here: https://publicaccess.basingstoke.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=TEAONZCRIXY00
