There are just five days left to fill out our Neighbourhood Plan survey.

How do you travel around the area❓
Do the roads in the parish need improving❓
Are the pavements accessible❓

We need your answers to these questions, and a few more.

Physical copies of the survey can be put into drop boxes at:

😀FREE outdoor youth session TONIGHT. Head down to Maunsell Way Recreation Ground from 6-8pm. We are moving indoors to the Ellendune Community Centre from 22nd September.😀

Remember our First Aid Villages scheme? Great news - it's back!

We've got three new dates for you this autumn. So if you'd like to learn some life-saving first aid skills, sign up to one of the sessions for free.

You'll learn CPR, choking aid, bandage and wound care and how to use a defibrillator.

On the agenda is:
🏡 Plans for a new children's home in Wichelstowe

There's just one week left to fill out our Neighbourhood Plan survey.

All responses will be collated and will feed into the development of the new Neighbourhood Plan 2026-2036.

The deadline for responses is Monday 21 September.

Great news - you're getting a new bus shelter on Perrys Lane 🙌

On Wednesday night, our councillors agreed to put some money aside for a new bus shelter.

The current bus stop on Perrys Lane, just on the left hand side before the junction with Wharf Road, is well used but offers no protection from the elements.

We therefore want to ensure that people using this bus stop are kept safe and dry.

We've applied to Swindon Borough Council for legal permission, and there are just a couple of bits we still need to iron out.

But we're delighted to say that this is now going ahead. We'll keep you all updated with progress.

📆 Date for your diaries 📆

On Monday 21 September, we're hosting two of our parish council meetings at The Deanery C of E Academy.

They are:
✅ Finance and General Purposes at 6.45pm
✅ Full Council at 7.30pm

Full Council will immediately follow the finance meeting.

You are all, as local residents, entitled to attend both meetings and speak if you wish. Agendas will be published nearer the time.

We're hoping that a change of venue will help bring the two areas of the parish together.

What do you love most about living in Wroughton and Wichelstowe❓
Do we need more EV charging points❓
Are there enough sports and leisure facilities❓

We need your answers to these questions, plus a few more.

We're in the process of developing our new 10-year Neighbourhood Plan, which will set out how we want the parish to develop over the next decade.

In order to help us put the plan together, we need you to complete a special survey.

Physical copies have been sent out and, once completed, can be put into drop boxes at:
