Penhill Pride in Place are seeking enthusiastic, committed individuals to join the Pride in Place Neighbourhood Board for Penhill.

If you live, work or have a strong connection to the neighbourhood, are passionate about improving their community, can work collaboratively with others and are committed to making a positive difference – this could be a great opportunity for you.

We are running an open session on 13th June 10am to 12pm at John Moulton Hall where you can find out more, meet the Independent Chair and ask any questions about the board.

We will have paper copies of expression of interest forms for you to complete.

The site includes a range of free-to-use fitness equipment including:
• Cross trainer
• Ski walker
• Seated chest press
• Shoulder press
• Waist twister
• Sit-up bench
• Balance and step equipment

A brilliant local facility for anyone wanting to keep active outdoors while enjoying the green space and walking routes around the park. 💪🌳

FERNDALE. Following a number of complaints of dog mess in the area, in addition to enforcement we’ve installed new “No Dog Fouling” stickers today along Western Flyer and across Ferndale.

Dog mess is unpleasant, unhygienic, & unfair on everyone using the area. Please clean up after your dog and use the bins provided.

Enforcement action can be taken against offenders, please keep Ferndale clean for all and safe for children. 🐾

💷💰MORE MASSIVE INWARD INVESTMENT! We’re delighted to announce that Central Swindon North Parish Council secured £80,144 from the Sport England Place Capital Funding Scheme towards the refurbishment of the Moredon Community Centre. 🎉

This huge funding, alongside the Parish Council’s contribution towards the £118,500 project, will support a wide range of overdue improvement works; transforming the centre into a modern, accessible & flexible community space for local residents of all ages.

Refurbishment will include upgrades to flooring, lighting and heating, improvements to accessibility, redecoration throughout, and enhancements to the hall’s facilities to better support sports, fitness classes, youth activities, community groups, events and social gatherings.

The project will also help create a safer, more welcoming environment that can be used by more people throughout the year.
