If you're worried about losing your home or are currently homeless, support is available in Swindon.
A visit today by Councillor Matty Courtliff, Cabinet Member for Housing and Property, highlighted the range of support available across the Borough, from early help to prevent homelessness through to emergency assistance and longer-term accommodation.
Latest government figures show homelessness is prevented or relieved in 58 per cent of cases in Swindon, compared with a national average of 49 per cent. On average, 56 households each month are helped to stay in their homes, while a further 63 households are supported to secure alternative accommodation.
If you need help, contact the Homelessness Prevention Team on 01793 445500 or visit Beckhampton Street, SN1 2JH. You do not need an appointment.
If you're concerned about someone sleeping rough, you can alert local outreach services through StreetLink, helping connect them with the support they need.
