Come to the Youth Hub and take a trip around the world using your senses. Sit back and let the flavour take you on an amazing adventure.

Many residents will be aware that there is currently a small unauthorised encampment on Jubilee Field.

The Parish Council is working closely with Hampshire Police and New Forest District Council, who are aware of the situation and are carrying out the appropriate procedures.

The good news is that, so far, there has been no damage to the field or facilities, and the football pitch remains in good condition.

For now, the best approach is simply to carry on as normal.

Please continue to use the field and facilities as usual, be courteous to everyone on site, and avoid any unnecessary interaction or confrontation.

If you do see any damage or behaviour that causes concern, please let the Parish Council know.

Thank you for your support and understanding. We will keep residents updated if there are any developments.

We have elected our new Chairman for the coming year as Cllr Dave Penny. Cllr Penny was elected at the Annual Council meeting (18 May). He represents the Totton North Ward on the district council and has been a member of NFDC since May 2023.

In addition to chairing meetings of the Council held at Appletree Court, the position of Chairman is an important ceremonial one, representing the district at a wide range of civic engagements and local events.

The Vice-Chairman for 2026/2027 is Cllr Barry Rickman.

Joint Working Group update - 21 May '26

We are delighted to confirm that the draft heads of terms which were drawn up and recommended by this group, have been formally approved by both Sway Parish Council and St Luke's Parochial Church Council at their respective meetings. Both parties will now instruct their lawyers, as we move to the drafting of the new long lease for the Sway Youth Centre, which we intend to have ready for signing before the end of 2026.

Focus will now turn to the development of proposals for investment in the building and associated funding. We encourage residents to continue their engagement with us in shaping the future of this valued community building. There will be regular updates and opportunities for feedback from residents as the proposals develop.
