Do you ever ask yourself, why should I bother with training?
Well, there are many reasons.

It can take you in a new direction.
It helps you understand new areas relating to your work.
It could get you on the next step of your career ladder.
It could help revitalize how you think about your current job.
It could be the next best thing since sliced bread!

Above all, it would cost cost you £0.00! Why because we have funding to help you access new and exciting (and possibly career-changing) courses! Also if you work for a company they could apply on your behalf making the whole application process a lot simpler!

We have courses that focus on Innovation such as using Building Information Modelling Software and Drone use in Construction, tackling climate change and fuel poverty with Energy Efficiency and Retrofit courses.

But hurry these courses and funding won't be around for long and there are very limited spaces available on each course.

Companies can complete this application form https://bit.ly/3bmp7IO.

Our Story

Construction Wales Innovation Centre, launched in April 2016 as Hub and Spokes style training facility known as CWIC. Funded by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB), CWIC is a unique partnership between the University of Wales Trinity St Davids, Coleg Sir Gar, Coleg Cambria, Coleg y Cymoedd, Coleg Ceredigion and the Building Research Establishment that offered free, specialised and demand led training throughout Wales up until August 2019 following a 3 year CITB funded initiative to upskill the industry. In October 2018 we opened the new £6.5 million Hub in the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s SA1 Waterfront Innovation Quarter. Since then we have provided business class facilities to several hundred construction companies and welcomed many schools visits. Our brand new scaffold training facility on Fabian Wales, Swansea was due to open this Spring but due to the current Covid-19 pandemic is being utilised as a field hospital. We hope to be fully operational again soon and will post messages here and elsewhere on social media as soon as we have an updates. Stay safe.
