Swansea University Swimming News A news page for anyone that would like to follow the Swansea University swimming team. Costs increase as you move through the squads.

The team trains regularly at the Welsh National pool where we are able to meet the needs of different swimmers; from those who wish to keep fit and be social, to those who wish to race and achieve new personals bests. We compete in BUCS short course, long course and teams competitions, as well as the addition of the BUSL. COMMITTEE 2021-2022:

MEMBERSHIPS:

Before you can join the swimming team, you will need to purchase a Sport Swansea membership for £30. The swimming memberships will cost £40 for the year and entitle you to train. We run an inclusive program so all are welcome

We have 4 squads to suit all swimmers:

We do socials on Wednesdays which is a great way for us to get to know each other even better outside of the pool as well. We will be posting photos and videos after every socials as well as events to keep you all up to speed on what the team is up to. ACHIEVEMENTS:

What a few months - had the privilege of travelling the world with Aquatics GB marathon team, Seren getting to 16 and going to her prom, recieving a recognition award from Swansea university, being given the Bucs coach of the year award and being selected to be part of the GB Olympic team - my wonderful swansea university swimmers have given me the support I needed to achieve all of this so I thank all of them, Adam, seren and my family

Congratulations to all the swimmers who raced at the bucs team championships the results speak for themselves the A team came 2nd in n the A final and the B team came 3rd and the c team came 5th in the B final all teams gaining those elusive bugs points well done guys !!

Swansea university swimmers had an amazing 4 days at the swim Wales long course championships we raced fast and as always brought the energy and team spirit and by being a team we had season bests and personal bests, we won 28 gold medals 🥇🥇🥇 25 silver medals 🥈🥈🥈 and 21 bronze medals 🥉🥉🥉a few pictures below of the team - A massive thank you to all the team staff that showed great support to the swimmers and to each other
