The team trains regularly at the Welsh National pool where we are able to meet the needs of different swimmers; from those who wish to keep fit and be social, to those who wish to race and achieve new personals bests. We compete in BUCS short course, long course and teams competitions, as well as the addition of the BUSL. COMMITTEE 2021-2022:

MEMBERSHIPS:
Before you can join the swimming team, you will need to purchase a Sport Swansea membership for £30. The swimming memberships will cost £40 for the year and entitle you to train. We run an inclusive program so all are welcome

We do socials on Wednesdays which is a great way for us to get to know each other even better outside of the pool as well. We will be posting photos and videos after every socials as well as events to keep you all up to speed on what the team is up to. ACHIEVEMENTS:

The team caters for swimmers of varying abilities, from those who wish to train and race at a competitive level to those who wish to keep fit and be social. Our aim as a team is to provide a platform for everyone to enjoy their swimming, whether that means enabling swimmers to perform at national levels or revel in the social side of the sport.
In recent years the team has grown in size and strength enabling us to enter A, B and C teams competing in Divisions 1, 2 and 3 of the BUCS team championships respectively. We also send swimmers to both long and short course individual BUCS championships.
Our swimmers will also have the option to purchase Swim Wales affiliation, allowing members to compete in open meets throughout the year.

All performance swimmers must arrive 15-20 minutes before sessions for pre-pool stretching.

SOCIALS:
As a team we pride ourselves on our tight nit family atmosphere and busy social calendar, with regular socials being held at our sponosor bar, peppermint, on Wednesday nights. Socials are a really great way for the whole team to bond outside of the pool and ensure a great time for everyone involved. As well as our standard Wednesday nights, we host a wide range of dry socials and fundraising/charity events through out the year. All our social events are organised by social secs Adam and Frankie.
MEMBERSHIP:
Every student wishing to join the swim team must purchase Sport Swansea membership (£33) along with swimming team membership (£30) either at the freshers fair or via Swansea students union website, in order to train and compete. Monthly training fees are different for each squad and our treasurer will notify you of these at the start of each month. All swimmers will be asked to set up a direct debt to pay there monthly fees over a 8 month period.
