Welsh Labour: Together for Swansea

Welsh Labour: Together for Swansea Welsh Labour Assembly Members for Swansea We believe in creating a fairer, better Wales - investing for the future. Record breaking results! Vote Labour.

Against the backdrop of a Tory Westminster government and the continued cuts that are hitting Wales hard, the upcoming Welsh Assembly elections have never been more important. Despite the difficult economic climate, Welsh Labour continues to deliver for the people of Swansea and for all of Wales. That is why the Welsh Labour Government spends more per head on health and social care, and education,

than the Tory UK Government in England. In England, the Tory Government has declared war on the NHS with junior doctors striking and the bursary for trainee nurses removed. But in Wales, our commitment to the NHS means we are treating more patients, more quickly, than ever before. There are 2,000 more GPs in our communities since 2004 and we are making record investment. Welsh Labour continues to invest in our children’s education with millions being spent on making school buildings fit for the 21st Century. We are investing in flying start, and free breakfasts for primary school pupils. We have protected EMA and shielded Welsh students from £6000 a year tuition fee hike. And investing in our children is paying dividends in Swansea with GCSE results improving by 13.4% since 2008, while more than 80% of Swansea schools are now in the top category of schools. We all know there are many difficult challenges ahead, but we in Welsh Labour will continue to stand up for Wales and for Swansea. We are committed to providing real help, when and where it is needed most. We will continue to deliver on economic growth, jobs, equality and a sustainable Wales. There is a clear choice for the people of Wales in the Assembly Election. We are the only party that can - and will - stand up and fight the cruel Tories in Westminster and battle for a fairer deal for Wales. ❤️ This , I’m proud to celebrate the role that the trade union movement has had in strengthening workplaces and the rights of workers in communities across Wales. As a lifelong union member myself, I have felt this first-hand throughout my working life, and have placed my support and advocacy for trade unions at the core of my role as Member of the Senedd for Aberavon since 2011.

🤝 From securing employment rights for working people, to shaping meaningful and progressive change in our public services - trade unions remain at the heart of our nation’s history 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
