We will ensure that disabled members’ voices are heard , through monitoring their involvement in activities, To shape the disabled member’s agenda by contributing to policy making. We will encourage and support disabled members to play a full and active part in all the Party’s activities, particularly through facilitating training, networking and mentoring, and encouraging disabled members to run

for elected office. We will also build links with disabled voters in the community, through our contacts with the trade unions, community organizations and individual disabled voters, consultation, campaigning and joint working. We will encourage disabled voters to join the Party and to ensure that new disabled members are welcomed. We will work jointly with disabled members and our neighbouring CLPs in the delivery of these aims. The above text has been taken directly from The Labour party rule book 2020 chapter 16 Rules for Disabled Members’ Branches.
