Swanbourne Store and Post Office

Hi All
Just a quick note.
This week is a celebration for Swanbourne village, and it’s great to see all those endeavouring to make it happen.

Last week completes our first year here at Swanbourne, and it has passed so quickly.

We, Jackie and myself, came with aspirations, some greater than others, some we’ve managed to achieve, the others still to get there.
A massive thanks to all of you who have made us welcome, we appreciate you and your custom.

Our intention was to make the store and the Post Office accessible to all, and the opening times and our particular way of thinking have hopefully done this.

We have had our setbacks recently, but we do have other plans, and we will try to introduce them as soon as we are able, but in the meantime, much love from us both, here’s to the next chapter.

Dear all,

Tomorrow, Thursday, we will put our youngest son, Sam, to rest.
Many of you may already know this, but we understand others may not.

We feel fortunate to have John and Katy, who will keep and run the shop and Post Office for the next couple of days, and more than fortunate to have customers like yourselves.

We want to thank everyone for their understanding over the past weeks, their kind comments and wishes, and for those who have given us gifts, all of which we will cherish.

We have made the decision to close on Saturday, a choice not taken lightly, but just for a day, so we might catch our breath. Hopefully, you will all understand, but we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Again, thank you for your support. We wish you all well.
