We're really pleased to share this lovely arts/ cycling opportunity in Moira which is a The National Forest project (not ours!).
It's funded through their Caroline Scothern Award, in memory of a very special colleague who loved cycling and especially working with people who were new to cycling....
Under the Canopy – Pedal Slow
Join artist Lynne Hollingsworth for calm, creative cycling sessions inspired by woodland colour, texture and light.
These FREE workshops designed for adults (18+) combine gentle cycling, sensory noticing and simple art‑making. You’ll be encouraged to move at your own pace, with the option to cycle, walk or pause as needed, whilst exploring the landscape through drawing, mark making and natural materials.
No previous art experience required, just the willingness to have a go. All materials provided.
Participants will need to provide own bike and helmet. Anyone that’s interested but do not have access to a bike can get in touch for support with options - [email protected]
There are six dates across June and July at Hicks Lodge and Moira Furnace, with flexible booking so you can join one, a couple, or the full series.
Sessions take place on:
Tues 23rd, Sun 28th & Tues 30th June
Sun 5th,12th & 19th July
