I was honoured to conduct a service this morning for a young man taken far too soon.

His final journey was in a Subaru Impreza Hearse, in a bespoke casket wrapped to show his love of designer gear.

A lovely performance by Zara Green Music in the middle of the service and great to work with the team from Co-op Funeral Care.

Last week was another good week for me helping families say goodbye to there loved ones.

The horses are always a magnificent sight and I had the joy of seeing them on two services last week.

Also two quite humbling notes of thanks to finish the week.

This week has been bookended with two very large services at Sutton Coldfield Crematorium, both were standing room only.

We said goodbye to a Blues fan and Villa fan. While there were plenty of tears, there was lots of laughter as we celebrated the lives of two characters.

It was a real privilege to tell both their stories.
