In his resignation letter, John Healey said that Starmer was unable and the Treasury was unwilling to commit the resources needed to defend the nation.

Starmer needs to go.

If you live in Herrington & Newbottle, your West Ranger is at risk.

Year after year, the local Conservative councillors for St Chads supported the excellent work of the local rangers.

Why? Because they worked hard to keep the area clean and tidy - they made a difference in the community.

But their contract is up for renewal in September and the new Reform councillors haven’t said they are willing to support the rangers continuing.

The local team in Herrington & Newbottle are running a petition calling on the rangers to continue and for their funding to be renewed and not cut.

The local Conservative councillors in the old St Michael’s ward supported Backhouse Park for over twenty years - from helping to fund community events, to installing new CCTV and play park equipment.

Despite no longer being elected, Michael Dixon and Lyall Reed still went down and supported the fantastic Family Fun Day in Backhouse Park.

👏 Well done to all involved who helped make the day happen!

THE PROCESS TO AWARD THE LEASE OF SOUTHWICK COMMUNITY CENTRE TO US HAS RESUMED. 🥳🎉

We can’t quite believe we’re typing this. After over a year of fighting. A year of meetings, sleepless nights, so many calls, emails and endless doors slammed in our face, the process of leasing Southwick Community Centre to us, after winning the tender back in April 2025, HAS RESUMED.🎊

We can’t thank you all enough for the support you have given us this past couple of months and to be honest we don't think we’ll ever be able to put into words how much it’s meant to us. In some of our darkest times when we thought about giving up, it’s been your comments, signatures and words of encouragement that have gotten us through.🥹🫶

A massive thank you to Reform Councillors for sorting this in two weeks. 🤝
