111 (Sunderland) Squadron ATC Air Training Corps Squadron, based in Sunderland, offering members: Flying, Gliding, Target Shooting, Sports, Adventure Training and much much more.

Part of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets (RAFAC). Membership:

Simply come along any Tuesday or Friday at 18:45 - you'll be made to feel welcome and given a tour of the unit. If you like what you see we will give you some forms to fill in (your parents will need to sign these) and that's it - Welcome aboard!

It's that time of year already and, this weekend, cadets completed their expedition training in readiness for the upcoming Duke of Edinburgh season.

We're a full week into our 2026 Training Programme and it's great to see cadets seizing opportunity as we run exciting events and courses!

Today, six cadets have been 'on the air' with our communications equipment, getting in key hours ahead of their assessments.

As well as being an important life skill, qualified cadets may use radios across many of our activities and events.
