You can now start using your blue bin ready for your first collection next week (week commencing 15 June), if you haven't already

This bin is for clean, dry and loose (not bagged):
✅ Plastic pots, tubs and trays
✅ Plastic carrier bags, film, wrapping and bubble wrap
✅ Plastic bottles
✅ Glass bottles and jars
✅ Drinks cartons (Tetra Pak)
✅ Metal cans and aerosols
✅ Tin foil and foil trays

It must not include:
❌ Paper
❌ Cardboard
❌ Books
❌ Shredded paper
as these go in your green lidded bin (collected this week - from 8 June - and again from week commencing 29 June)

For all the information on how to use your bin and what can go in it, as well as how to recycle many other items, head to the Suffolk Recycles website (link in the comments) or refer to the information pack sent in the post ♻️

You may also wish to put your house number on your bin

Chair of Babergh District Council, Councillor Lee Parker, has chosen Sudbury Defibrillators as his charity of the year to support during his term.

The charity launched a mission to ensure nobody in Sudbury is more than 2 minutes away from their nearest defibrillator.

On Saturday 13 June ActivLives are celebrating 10 years of volunteering at Belle Vue Park 🌸 with a free event (from 10am and 4pm) to coincide with Sudbury Open Gardens

Head down on the day to meet the team and volunteers - who were recently featured in our reel below - and enjoy the plants, refreshments and more ☕️
