๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜๏ธ Construction is progressing well at our new homes site in Glebelands, Cam where the foundations for 23 new affordable homes are now complete.

Seventeen of the homes will be for affordable rent and six for shared ownership, built by Speller Metcalfe on the site of a former sheltered housing scheme.

The development supports several objectives in Stroud District Councilโ€™s Council Plan, including delivering affordable, energy efficient homes and bringing forward key regeneration sites, particularly on brownfield land.

Speller Metcalfe is also constructing seven new homes for us at Queens Drive in Cashes Green, and has recently completed housing schemes in Wotton-under-Edge and Dursley.

Huge thanks to Speller Metcalfe for the brilliant photos ๐Ÿคฉ

Visitors to Selsley Common will notice new signs reminding people to stick to the paths and keep dogs on leads until August, while the resident skylarks are nesting ๐ŸŒฟ

Skylarks nest in long grass and particularly love Selsley Common, but their nests are easily damaged by wandering feet and dogs off leads. As an endangered species, they need a little extra care at this time of year.

A big thank you to National Trust Cotswolds Ranger Tom for putting the signs up, and to everyone helping to protect the next generation of skylarks ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ’š
