There will be 5,000 medals given out to winners at the next Olympic and Paralympics in Tokyo in 2020, and in the hope of promoting sustainability, all 5,000 will be made from recycled mobile phones. Tokyo 2020 sports director Koji Murofushi said: "A project that allows the people of Japan to take part in creating the medals is really good. There's a limit on the resources of our earth, so recycling these things will make us think about the environment." Collection boxes will be placed in local offices and telecom stores from April till the amount of metal required has been collected.

Olympic and Paralympic medals for the Tokyo 2020 Games will be made from recycled mobile phones.

The Aviva Stadium, home to the Republic of Ireland national football team and Ireland international rugby side, has gone 100% green! The venues power supply now comes solely from renewable energy sources under a new deal with SSE Airtricity. By removing its carbon footprint, the stadium says it is saving the environment nearly 3,000 tonnes in annual emissions, equivalent to the carbon stored by 22 acres of mature rainforest.

Sergio Aguero ended the 2014-15 Premier League season as the leading goalscorer in the league with 26 goals. The Argentinian star also hit two hat-tricks against Tottenham and QPR as well as a treble against Bayern Munich in the Champions League. He's played a major part in his club side Manchester City's success this season, maintaining a high level of fitness that saw him lead the line in the Etihad Stadium's attack. The 27 year old has put a huge amount of his success down to a change to a no-meat diet. He said: “I had to change a lot of things, starting with my food. I needed a healthier way of life. I had to change quite a bit – no more pasta, no more sugar and no meat, which I used to eat quite a bit because Argentinian meat is very good. Hopefully this season has proved that it has worked and I can stay the same until the end of my career.” Read Aguero's full interview in The Guardian about his move to a no-meat approach and how it has benefitted him in one of the best competitions in world sport.
