Our Facility has a 25 metre, 4 Lane Swimming Pool with Fitness Suite and Sauna, Steam Room and Spa.

‼️ REMINDER ‼️

All facilities at Stromness Swimming Pool & Fitness Centre will be closed Saturday 6th June to public from 9am-2pm to accommodate the Junior Inter County Swimming competition.

As per scheduled dates there will be no Learn to Swim on this date.

Please note that due to limited space in Stromness Swimming Pool & Fitness Centre unfortunately only those invited by the Junior Inter County Committee & Orkney Amateur Swimming Club will be able to access the Stromness Swimming Pool and support the team in person.

However you can head over to The Pickaquoy Centre in your team colours ❤️💙 to view and cheer on the swimming team at the cinema on livestream.

⚠️ Stromness Pool & Fitness Centre - Opening Times Changes - 3 to 7 June

Wednesday 3rd - Lane swimming reduced to 2 lanes (6:30am–8:00am)
Thursday 4th - Public session reduced to 2 lanes (5:30pm–7:00pm)
Saturday 6th - Pool, Gym & Health Suite closed 9:00am–2:00pm. Fitness suite open 6:30am–9:00am (no changing rooms). No learn to swim lessons.
Sunday 7th - Pool closed 1:00pm–2:00pm for private hire

Changes due to Junior Inter-County championships. We apologise for any inconvenience.

ANNOUNCEMENT

We are delighted to be hosting the 2026 Junior Intercounty Swimming at Stromness Swimming Pool & Fitness Centre.

This is the second time it has been hosted at Stromness Swimming Pool, with the last time in 1971!

With this Stromness Swimming Pool & Fitness Centre will have all facilities (Pool, Gym & Health Suite) closed on Saturday 6th June until 2pm.

Apologies for inconvenience caused and we hope you join us and cheering on all Orkney Competitors over the weekend.

REMINDER

No Learn to Swim this Saturday 9th May as per booking details with the pool closed for a swimming gala.

REMINDER

Stromness Swimming Pool is closed this Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th May 9am-4pm for a gala. Lane swimming will be on at 4-5pm on Saturday 9th May.

As per booking details there will be no Learn to Swim this Saturday 9th May.

The Gym and Health Suite will be open as normal. Access to the health suite will be through the gym door and strictly no access to poolside during the gala.
