SSAFA North Yorkshire had a grand day out yesterday at the Eden Camp Modern History Museum. The weather was fairly kind to us, and the visitors were friendly and generous as always.

We are now looking forward to the 29 Aug Living History Weekend and the 13 Sep All Services Parade and Service Of Remembrance.

SSAFA North Yorkshire was presented with a giant cheque for an incredible £6,483 at a special event at Jazz Court in Scarborough last week. The event, which was sponsored by Sanctuary Supported Living brought together residents, staff and local SSAFA volunteers.

Community managers Laura Sedgwick and Liz Jones-Hall presented the cheque to SSAFA North Yorkshire Branch Treasurer Bob Walton and Community Engagement Volunteer Beverley Rob.

A very special mention goes to the brave heroines Natalie Shaw and Heather Proctor, who completed a 10,000ft skydive to raise £1,815 towards the total.

Jazz Court’s in-house chef produced an amazing buffet and a superb time was had by all who attended.

Many Thanks to everyone involved from SSAFA!!!
