Two Atlas Moths, Attacus atlas, have emerged at the Butterfly Farm!
π¦ They are one of the largest moths in the world, with a wingspan that can reach up to 30cm!
π The tips of their wings resemble snake heads, which helps keep predators away
π They are native to the tropical forests of Southeast Asia
π Adult Atlas Moths don't eat! They live on the energy stored from their caterpillar stage
Their adult life is short. These special moths will only be with us for a few days, so visit soon if you'd like to see them!
