The Mayor of Stourport-on-Severn, Councillor Tim Berry, was delighted to visit Forest Dog Rescue today, accompanied by Kate Gynn, our Civic Support Officer.

Forest Dog Rescue is one of the Mayor’s two chosen charities this year, alongside Leapgate activity centre. It was a wonderful opportunity to see first-hand the invaluable work Forest Dog Rescue does in giving dogs a second chance at a loving home.

The Mayor was particularly interested to learn more about the challenges the organisation faces, as well as the incredible level of public support behind this fantastic local charity.

Stourport Carnival - Saturday 5th September 2026

We're pleased to open stallholder applications (excluding food vendors) for Stourport Carnival 2026.

Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee a stall.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 19th July 2026.

Successful applications will be notified shortly after the application closing date, along with payment details.

Help us keep Stourport’s Parks and Gardens Looking Lovely

Stourport-on-Severn Town Council have finished planting the summer bedding in our parks and gardens and thanks go to our Parks Team.

However, we’re disappointed to report that a number of plants have disappeared over the past couple of days from the beds in the Lickhill War Memorial Park, Stourport. If you saw anything or have any information, please contact Stourport-on-Severn Town Council on [email protected]. We will also be checking our CCTV. Thank you for helping us to keep our parks beautiful for everyone.

In response to community feedback received as part of the work being done by the Stourport Future Working Group, Stourport-on-Severn Town Council has installed new, brighter lighting at the High Street bus stop, Stourport-on-Severn.

The improved lighting will make the area safer and more welcoming this winter. Thank you to everyone who shared their views.

Work is taking place to install the display in the final bed in the war memorial gardens on Vale Road, Stourport-on-Severn. We can't wait to see the final display!

The first meeting of the Stourport Vision Steering Group took place on Thursday 21st May 2026. The steering group brings together representatives from Stourport-on-Severn Town Council, Wyre Forest District Council and Worcestershire County Council, plus local community and business groups.

Together they will look at the interventions contained within the Stourport Vision document, and how those can be turned into reality with the focus of making Stourport an even better place to live, work and visit.
