We Love Carers

We Love Carers We Love Carers is run by carers for carers. We do all this by focusing on three key areas, information, support and advice.

Providing support, advice and information to unpaid Carers throughout Dudley

Kings Award for Voluntary Service Winners 2024, Dudley Community Award Winners, Mayor of Dudley Community Award Winners, Public Speakers, Campaigners for Unpaid Carers There are many organisations that offer support, information and advice to Carers, but the vast majority are predominantly there for the person with the

disability, certainly they focus on specific areas. We Love Carers exists to reduce carer isolation, ensuring they have access to the support they need, enabling them to fulfil their caring role and achieve their full potential. We Love Carers focuses on the Carer, filling in gaps and working hard to empower them so they can lead the happiest, most rewarding and fulfilling lives whilst reaching their full potential. This will help them to be effective carers for the people they love and look after and be involved in decisions and making choices that affect their lives. Many carers are isolated and don’t know where to turn for help. We Love Carers aims to change that for Carers in the Dudley borough.

As Volunteers’ Week comes to a close, I want to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person who has supported our charity.
We could not do what we do without the goodwill of our volunteers. Giving up your time—often quietly and without recognition—to support others, run our groups, fundraise, or even provide a friendly face and a cup of tea, is truly remarkable. It’s what makes this charity so special.
Over the past 17 years, we’ve been incredibly fortunate to have so many wonderful volunteers. I’ve genuinely lost count of how many have been part of our journey, but each one has left a lasting and unique imprint. Your skills, kindness, and dedication have changed lives, and that impact cannot be overstated.
To have been honoured with The King’s Award for Voluntary Service speaks volumes about the difference you all make—it really does say it all.
Thank you. I appreciate every one of you more than words can express.

As a small local charity supporting unpaid carers across Dudley and the surrounding areas, we do what we do not for recognition, but because we live this life ourselves and are passionate about building strong connections within our community.

You can imagine our surprise and delight when we learned that we have been chosen as one of the charities to be supported by the newly elected Mayor of Dudley. We are incredibly proud to stand alongside so many inspiring local organisations that work tirelessly to make our community a better place.

Our sincere thanks and congratulations go to the Mayor of Dudley, Cllr Pete Lowe; Mayoress Su Lowe; and Deputy Mayor, Cllr Adam Aston, and his consort, Ben Middleton.
We’re sure this will be a bostin’ year for everyone involved, celebrating and recognising the many fantastic charities and community groups that help make Dudley such a special place.

Bostin’ news for Dudley 💙
Dudley has a new Mayor — Councillor Pete Lowe — who has launched his vision for a ‘BOSTIN Dudley’, celebrating pride, inclusion and community.
With more than 20 years of service, Cllr Lowe says becoming First Citizen is “an honour and a privilege.”
He will be supported throughout the year by Mayoress Su, Deputy Mayor Councillor Adam Aston and Consort Ben Middleton.
💙 Supporting local charities: We Love Carers , Friends of Alfie Johnson , The What? Centre, Brierley Hill Babybank , Stourbridge Town FC (Floodlight Appeal), Gig Caritas and Stourbridge Glass Museum
Alongside arts, sport and heritage, this year is about celebrating the people at the heart of Dudley.
💬 “I’m looking forward to representing everyone in our community over the coming year.”
