After the difficulties our own community have suffered through banking closures it’s great to see Graham Leadbitter MP secure this important debate to make the UK Government listen.

The reality is though, we shouldn’t have to hold Westminster’s feet to the fire on rural concerns. It’s only with the fresh start of that we can finally set our own banking standards that will serve our island communities. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I'll be leading a debate I've secured in the House of Commons later today calling for easier access to banking hubs.

Banking hubs are great solutions for communities who've lost their last bank branches - but the current strict eligibility criteria means that the towns and villages that would benefit the most from them can't actually get them.
