A new month means new farm adventures! The fields are growing, the animals are enjoying the longer days, and summer is just around the corner. 🐑🐐🌱

🌻🎃 It’s been a busy weekend on the farm as we continue preparing for the exciting months ahead!

All of our sunflowers are now planted and starting to grow. They may only be tiny plants just now, but we're already looking forward to seeing the fields transformed into a sea of yellow later in the summer. 🌱🌻

It was also time to move the pumpkins out of the greenhouse and into the field. It’s a huge job, and while we’re not quite finished yet, we’ve made fantastic progress in between the showers! 🌧️🚜🎃

Over the next few months, you'll be able to watch everything grow and develop when you visit the farm. From tiny seedlings to towering sunflowers and pumpkins ready for picking, there's plenty to look forward to!

🐑🌿 Little Lambs Spaces Available! 🌿🐑

We have a few spaces remaining for our Little Lambs toddler group on Monday and Friday next week!

⏰ 10:00am – 11:30am

If you've been thinking about joining us, now's the time to book as spaces are limited and only a few places remain. 🐑🚜

Got an older sibling off school for the occasional holiday tomorrow? Bring them along to enjoy a morning on the farm too! 🌾🐐

💚 Little Lambs sessions are £7 per child.

💚 Older siblings can join in tomorrow (Monday 1st june) for £4, payable in the farm shop on the day.

There'll be plenty of farm fun, including meeting the animals, outdoor play, and exploring the farm together.

We’re looking ahead to next month and wanted to let you know what we’ve got planned for June at the farm! ☀️🐑

🐐 Our Little Lambs toddler group sessions on Mondays & Fridays will be running for the last few weeks before we pause for the summer holidays — so make sure to book on before the break!

🚜 We’re open every weekend throughout June, so if you’re looking for an animal-filled day out, we’d love to welcome you to the farm. Bring a picnic, enjoy the fresh air and make a day of it 🌿🧺

💙 Father’s Day at the Farm is coming up and dads go FREE! It’s the perfect way to spend quality time together as a family and capture some lovely “Dad & Me” memories for the photo box 📸

🎉 We also have lots of school and group visits booked in over the next few weeks, but we still have some availability for birthday parties! If you’re looking for a fun and unique farm party this year, get in touch 🐄🎂

🐐 Meet the Team Tuesday 🐐

This week we wanted to introduce you to Sprout 💚

Sprout is quite the character here on the farm and is definitely one of our most popular animals with visitors! People often mistake him for one of the baby goats, but he’s over a year old, and is actually one of our breeding males. Sprout is a pygmy goat, so he won’t get much bigger than he is now 🐾

This year he’s already produced two beautiful kids for us — Magic & Merlin ✨

Sprout is usually the first to greet visitors when you head into the animal area. He may be small, but he’s mighty, and he certainly isn’t put off by the much bigger goats in his field!

We got Sprout from a lovely couple who we still keep in touch with. He was born during the snow in January so they named him Sprout to match the time of year, and we loved the name so much that we kept it ❄️🌱

Make sure to come and say hello to him when you next visit the farm — and we can’t wait to see more of his adorable kids in the future! 🐐💛

🌾 We’ve got a busy few weeks ahead at the farm! 🚜🐑

We have lots of school trips booked in and we can’t wait to welcome all the children to the farm to meet the animals and learn more about what we grow here at Grains Farm 🌱🐄

We’ve also got Father’s Day coming up soon — keep your eyes peeled for more information on that 👀💙

Out in the fields, our pumpkins are now well established and ready to be planted out 🎃 And of course, alongside all of that, we still have our toddlers group, open weekends and all the daily animal care to keep us busy!

We’re also thinking about adding something new to the play park and would LOVE your feedback…

🐷 Tiny Tim Update 🐷

For everyone who has been following Tiny Tim’s journey, we just wanted to give you all a little update 💛

Tiny Tim is now 10 weeks old! As many of you know, he was by far the smallest piglet from our most recent litter, and despite a few obstacles along the way, he’s continued to surprise us with his strength and determination.

Unfortunately, our tiny boy has picked up another wee infection 😔 But we’ve caught it quickly, he’s being treated promptly, and we’re hopeful he’ll be back to his cheeky usual self in no time.

Tiny Tim is one very special little piglet 🐽💕We’ll keep you all updated on his progress!

🐷 Little Lambs Toddler Group – Next Week’s Theme: PIGS! 🐷

Join us next week for another fun-filled Little Lambs session at the farm 🌾💛

This week we’ll be spending some quality time with our lovely Kune Kune pigs, Doris & Donna 🐽 We’ll be making enrichment toys to keep them busy (did you know pigs are super intelligent?) as well as giving them a good brush and pamper!

🧒 A toddler group with a difference — enjoy being outdoors, exploring the farm, meeting the animals, and lots of free play in the fresh air 🌿🚜🐑
