On Tuesday 22 September, we’ll be visiting customers at West End Village, Oliver Lodge, Ellenor Court, Richmond Street and Floyd Street to complete our Tenant Satisfaction Surveys.

It’s your chance to tell us how we’re doing as your landlord – what’s working well and where we could do better. 💬

Not going to be in? Don’t worry. We’ll be calling any residents we haven’t managed to speak to on Tuesday 29 September, so you’ll still have the chance to share your feedback.

Keeping you safe at home: Awaab’s Law 🏠

From 30 November, Awaab's Law is changing, giving social housing customers greater protection from a wider range of hazards in their homes.

The law will set timescales for us to investigate and respond to significant hazards including:

🌡️ Excess cold and heat
⚡ Electrical hazards
🔥 Fire and explosion risks
⚠️ Falls
🏠 Structural problems
🚿 Serious hygiene hazards

Emergency hazards and significant damp and mould are already covered.

That’s a wrap on our summer fire safety events! 🔥

Over the summer, we’ve been out and about at our schemes chatting with residents about fire safety and our new Safe Space Standard.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions, shared their thoughts and worked with us to help keep our buildings safe.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to our fire safety contractor JWI and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service for supporting our events, and for bringing along plenty of goodies, helpful advice and fire safety information for residents! 🚒

Our summer events might be finished, but the conversation about fire safety doesn’t stop here.

If you have any questions about Fire safety or Safe Spaces, please speak to your Neighbourhood Officer.
