Fenton Lido

Fenton Lido One of the most beautiful places on the planet. Wonderful trees, bushes, wildlife and pond. The Smith family’s great hall was demolished in 1900.

In the early 18th century the Smiths were Stoke-on-Trent mine owners based in Fenton. Where it once stood is now Mount Pleasant recreation ground with its cricket field and Smith’s Pool popularly known as the Lido. A Lido is a public outdoor swimming pool.

For any members who feed the duck's, geese, and swans on Queens Park (Longton Park)
This is just as relevant on Smithpool (Lido) and all other waters, Last week we lost 52 fish in Smithpool
When feeding can you please refrain from putting food into the pools
Leftover food is rotting down in the water and is contributing to fish death's
We have lost over 100 these past 4days and may lose a few more over the next day or so
We don't want to stop people feeding the waterbirds but wherever possible please feed on the bankside not in the water
Many thanks
