There’s always something to spot on a lakeside walk at Trentham!🦢 🌿
Our lake is full of wildlife, from kingfishers and cormorants to deer hiding in the surrounding woodlands and plenty of swans. You might even spot a cormorant enjoying its latest catch! 🐟

And look how much our swan cygnets have grown! 😍 It’s been lovely watching them grow up on the lake this summer.

Join Duncan, our brilliant wildlife ranger, on a guided woodland walk through Trentham’s autumn landscape, where mushrooms are popping up in every shape, size and shade.

From the humble Field Mushroom (Agaricus campestris), ancestor of the shop-bought kind, to the bold and beefy Beefsteak Fungus (Fistulina hepatica), you’ll uncover the hidden world of fungi that helps shape the forest from the ground up.
