FLAG is now part of The Stockport Targeted Prevention Alliance, which has been commissioned by Stockport Council as part of their wider Preventative Strategy and will provide early help, advice and preventative support to a range of people with a spectrum of needs in the borough. This new service was introduced on 1st July 2015. The service is delivered through an alliance of organisations working

with Stockport Council. The organisations are Age UK Stockport, FLAG, Nacro, Relate GMS, Stockport Homes and Threshold. The Alliance has wide-ranging knowledge, skills and expertise for working with people and wider circles of support to enable them to achieve greater independence. The six organisations bring together specialisms to support people to make positive choices including the provision of expert information and advice, increasing resilience to long term conditions, promoting health and wellbeing, support to reduce offending behaviour and promoting healthy relationships.All services are free to Stockport residents.
