What does good adult social care look like to you?

The Big Conversation on Care is a national opportunity to shape the future of adult social care.

In Stockport, we see every day how the right support can help people maintain their independence, build on their strengths and live well. Over the coming weeks we'll be sharing stories from local people whose lives have been changed by adult social care.

Read their stories and take part to help shape the future of care.

Good news, Brinnington!

The deadline for community groups to apply for a Pride in Place community conversation grant has been extended.

If you've got an idea for bringing people together and gathering views on the future of Brinnington, there's still time to apply for funding of £100 to £500.

£20 million is being invested in Brinnington over the coming years, and we want local people to help shape what happens next. The conversations happening now will help inform the priorities that make the biggest difference to the community.

🗓 New application deadline: 11 September

Whether you're part of a residents' group, community organisation or local project, we'd love to hear your ideas.

A new riverside neighbourhood set to take shape!

A specialist team is now working to develop a regeneration strategy for around Newbridge Lane in the town centre, a 22-acre area alongside the River Goyt.

The team will explore how the vision could be brought to life, including options for new homes, public spaces, infrastructure and investment.

The longer-term vision is for a connected riverside community with high-quality homes, attractive green spaces and improved walking and cycling routes.
