One bunny’s rubbish is another bunny’s playground! 🐰

We recently had to remove a hollow tree, but rather than let it go to waste, we’ve given it a new lease of life as a tunnel for our giant rabbits.

Catnip for lions? Not quite… but the reaction is pretty similar! 🦁

We use lots of different forms of enrichment with our lions, and scent enrichment is a firm favourite. In this video, you can see one of our lionesses enjoying a good roll around in a bright orangey-brown powder. 🌶️

Much like a housecat reacting to catnip, our lions love investigating and rubbing against interesting scents, including spices. The spicier the better!

Scent enrichment can make our lions quite lively, too… just look out for the little leap towards the end of the video! 😂

Visiting us during Radio 2 in the Park weekend? We’re opening early! ☀️

Radio 2 in the Park is coming to Stirling on the 12th & 13th of September, and with thousands of people expected to attend, some roads around the area could be busier than usual.

To help you get here, parked up and ready for your day before the event gets underway at 11am, we’re opening our gates earlier than usual:

Members: entry from 9am
Regular ticket holders: entry slots from 9.30am
Safari Drive-Thru & attractions: open from 10am

We’d recommend allowing a little extra time for your journey and setting off earlier than usual if you’re visiting us on either day.

Once you’re through the gates, you can settle in and enjoy your day with the animals! 🦭

Vulture Day is this Saturday! 🦅

Come and meet our Education Team outside the sea lion pool from 10am–4pm for a day of hands-on fun, fascinating facts and all things vultures.

Think feather detectives, owl pellet dissections, telemetry demonstrations, vulture calls… and the all-important question: what's Kevin the vulture really like behind-the-scenes?? 👀

There’ll also be a Vulture Day tombola, with the chance to win tickets for a special flight experience at our 12pm, 2pm or 4pm Bird of Prey Flying Display. Winners must be aged 16+.

Come and find out why vultures are some of nature’s most important clean-up crew! 💚
