Brewood Fire Station isn’t just home to our Pump Rescue Ladder, we’ve also got our Ranger! 🚒

📍 On 10th February, Brewood Ranger was mobilised to assist Wombourne 1, multiple fires had been set within trees in a difficult off-road location.

Using the high-pressure pump, crews quickly extinguished the smouldering fires and prevented further spread.

Now applications are open to join our crew as an on-call firefighter, we’re promoting this nearby event for anyone interested in knowing more about the role.

Cannock Community Fire Station are holding an on-call firefighter event on Wednesday 28 January to explain more about:
✅ The on-call application process
✅ Fitness
✅ Job related tests
✅ Declarations

So, if you’re interested in the role and want to know more, drop in to the event between 6:30pm and 8pm to speak to someone.

Applications have opened, come and join our Brewood crew as an on-call firefighter!

Not sure what an on-call firefighter is?

They’re firefighters who carry alerters and respond to emergencies from home or work, instead of being based at the station.

They receive the same training and attend the same types of incidents as full time firefighters; they just provide a number of on-call hours every week when they are available to respond.

Get paid to respond to emergencies and help your local community.

Here are some photos from a recent multi-agency exercise we attended 🚒

The scenario involved two tankers in collision with multiple vehicles, using both actors and training manikins. Crews worked to extricate multiple casualties from several vehicles.

Regular training helps firefighters maintain their skills and confidently use the wide range of extrication equipment carried on our Pump Rescue Ladders 👩‍🚒🔥
