Huge congratulations to Sophie Coffey, the winner of the Gnosall Parish Survey £50 prize draw.

I managed to catch up with Sophie in Greene's on Monday evening, where I was able to present her with the gift voucher.

The draw was held in The Grosvenor Centre earlier this month, with our Borough Councillor Scott Spencer picking the winner from more than 550 entries.

What an incredible response we've had for the Gnosall Parish Survey 2025.

We're still counting, but it looks like an astonishing amount - 1 in 4 households in the parish - have been completed and returned.

A huge thank you to everyone who completed the survey, and our gratitude goes out to the kind volunteers who helped us.

Your responses will help guide our next steps, and while decisions take time, rest assured we're already busy working in the background.

Watch this space for further announcements.

It's quick.
It's anonymous (if you want).
And it genuinely makes a difference.

Last Chance to Have Your Say!

The Gnosall Parish Survey 2025 closes at 23:59 on Monday 6th October. Please don't miss this chance to have your say about our future.

If you haven't completed it yet, please take the time to share your thoughts. Your feedback really will make a huge difference. Every response helps us shape the Neighbourhood Plan for the whole parish.

You can either fill in the paper version that was delivered to every household, or complete it online:

In 10 days time the Gnosall Parish Survey will close, and we'll be ready to analyse all your responses.

We haven't counted all the completed surveys yet, as there are printed copies still to be collected. But early indications show that up to 25% of households in the parish will have completed the survey by the closing date of 6th October.

That's phenomenal, considering this figure is more than twice the national average for these types of surveys.

If there’s one thing clear so far, it’s that people want to be heard. Your responses have been forthright, passionate, and sometimes blunt, but that’s EXACTLY what we wanted. A healthy parish listens, even when the feedback is tough.

Some common "hot topics" are emerging, including road conditions, infrastructure, housing and antisocial behaviour, but there's also lots of feedback on everyday life in our community too, which is equally as important.

Every single response adds weight when it comes to delivering a Neighbourhood Plan that meets the expectations of everyone.

So, if you haven't completed your survey yet, please don't let your voice be silent - join the 1 in 4 households who WILL be heard.

"Who Runs What?" Quiz

The Gnosall Parish Survey contains a lot of interesting questions about life in the parish, including planning, crime, roads, environment etc. This will reveal the real issues at the heart of the community, and how we address them in our Neighbourhood Plan.

But how do you know what the Parish Council can - and can't - influence?

Our fun quiz will help you discover which council tiers are responsible for everything from bins to potholes, playgrounds to new homes.

Take the quiz at https://gnosallparishsurvey.com/quiz/

Survey Update

I've been investigating reports that some people had issues submitting the online Gnosall Parish Survey 2025. A few changes have now been made which should improve things, but with so many different browsers, devices and systems, it’s almost impossible to guarantee a complete fix without being sat next to you at the time.

Don’t worry if you experienced a bug and were unable to submit the survey - the system should have saved your progress and comments. To make sure you’re loading the bug-free version of the survey, please do a hard refresh (on most computers press Ctrl+F5, or on a phone swipe down to refresh the page). You should be able to navigate through the sections, which should be pre-filled with answers from you original attempt.

If you experienced problems before, please try again - every response really counts. Remember, there's also additional paper copies available at the Parish Office, Greenes, and The Bakery.

Gnosall Parish Survey – Cost Update

We’ve had some great feedback on how professional the Survey looks (thank you 👏), but we also know a few people have asked: “How much did this cost us?”

Here’s the breakdown:

🔷 Printing – funded by a grant from Locality (no cost to the Parish)
🔹 Design - created at no cost internally
🔷 Online tech – provided free of charge by a member of our group
🔷 Distribution – delivered entirely by local volunteers
🔷 Envelopes – the only direct - but negligible - cost to the Parish Council

So while the Survey looks polished, it has not added a single penny to the parish precept (the portion of Council Tax residents pay).

Instead, it’s a brilliant example of how we can use grants, community spirit, group expertise, and volunteer power to make things happen at (almost) zero cost.

Whilst some Parish Councils spend thousands of pounds on Neighourhood Plan consultant fees, design work, development costs and distribution, you can rest assured that it cost you - our residents - nothing.

Most importantly, this Survey gives everyone the chance to share their views and shape the future of our parish.

Attention parents, youth leaders, teachers, coaches, influencers, and anyone connected with young people!

We need your help spreading the word about the Gnosall Parish Youth Survey for ages 13–18.

From youth spaces to safer routes to school, green areas, sports facilities, crime, and access to services, the opinions of our younger residents matter. This is their village too, and their voices deserve to be heard.

👉 Please share this with the young people you know.
👉 Encourage them to take part. Their voices really do count!

Youth Surveys can be picked up from the Parish Office, Greenes, The Bakery, Knightley Church and Moreton Millennium Centre.

Alternatively, complete the survey online at:

Together, we can make sure the next generation is heard, valued, and represented.

Provisional figures suggest that more than 10% of households have completed and returned their surveys in the first week.

That's fantastic, but we want to hear from more of you.

Every community across the country is facing challenges, and we really want to tackle the issues you face head on. We can only do that with your help.

The more we come together and voice our opinions, the more weight we can put behind the things you want tackling.

Remember, we are a group of people from the community itself who call this parish our home. Tell us what you want, and we'll do everything in our power to deliver a Neighbourhood Plan that YOU CAN support.

Every opinion counts, so we encourage you to complete one survey per person, not just per household.

It's quick and easy to do this online at www.gnosallparishsurvey.com

The survey closes on the 4th of October.

We're counting on you all. Together, we're stronger.
