The Wolseley Centre More than just a Visitor Centre! Set in 26 acres of former landscape gardens, The Wolseley Centre was once the ancestral home of the Wolseley family.

Now managed with wildlife in mind, our head quarters has everything for a great day out! The Wolseley Centre is the headquarters of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust - the county's leading nature conservation charity with over 18,000 members. With 2 walking trails, a wildlife garden, wildflower meadow, sensory garden, orchard and woodland there is plenty to enjoy at a visit to Wolseley!

Looking for a date night with a difference? Or perhaps something fun to do with a friend?

Maybe you fancy treating yourself to something... Join us for an evening out with nocturnal nature! 🦇

We'll start the evening with a burger in the cafe (beef, chicken or veggie) before heading out onto the reserve to discover what comes out after the sun sets.

We'll listen for bats and might even hear owls too. 🦉 This is just for adults.

You've heard of a Bear Hunt but how about a Beaver Quest?! 🦫

Join us at The Wolseley Centre to learn all about these amazing ecosystem engineers. 💦

📆 Friday 28 August, 10am - 12pm
🧒 Activities suitable for children aged 4+

It will include:
• A guided walk – see signs of beavers for yourself!
• A river dip to see what creatures we can find.
• Plus other fun activities as we explore how beavers shape rivers, create wildlife habitats and transform landscapes.

❗ Did you know we have an off-road tramper (mobility scooter) for hire? This means we can welcome those with limited mobility along to this event (using our new boardwalk). If you have any questions or need more information about accessibility please give us a call on 01889 880100.

We have our new shelving up for our lovely new coffee & teas including: breakfast tea, decaffeinated breakfast tea, earl grey, peppermint, lemongrass & ginger & red berries. These are supplied by Chartley Coffee. A second-generation, family-run independent coffee roastery located at Hixon Airfield Industrial Estate. We're sure you'll agree in that they are very tasty.
