CASH REWARD: an appeal for the return of Sarah Bateman's Google Pixel 6 128GB phone that disappeared from the Free Church office yesterday at 10am. It has been switched off since that time.

If you find it, please either message this page, contact Sarah Bateman on Facebook (her name is the comment box below) or post the phone through the Free Church letterbox which is by the side door of the church down Free Church Passage. There's no CCTV down there if you want to be anonymous.

The phone did have a black and white case on the back with 'Sarah' printed on it but that may have been removed in which case the colour of the phone is Sorta Seafoam.

Sarah is missing some precious photos and videos of her young children and is really hoping the phone will find its way back to her, no questions asked; she just wants the phone/pictures back.

And that's a wrap! No more... newspaper print hands... hiding in the back room when Villa lose... listening to Classic FM and Planet Rock on the shop radio... swearing about late deliveries... serving and chatting to people every day that I've seen every day for the last 50 years... No doubt my body clock will still wake me up at early o'clock every morning... I'll miss you all and your dogs; I loved the dogs! (Always had a treat for them - Sparkle, Mischka, Rosie, Susie... to name a few!)

At 3pm today, Chris and Simon Whateley completed the sale of their business. Whateleys Newsagents was signed over to Nagi who will be giving it a new name and a new look.

I'm sure Don Whateley will be proud that the business he started in 1969 remained a family business for nearly 53 years with pretty much every single member of the family working there at some point.

Rest assured the business will continue to serve the community as a newsagent and post office with the same familiar faces behind the counter. You can't get rid of Simon that easily! More photos to follow...

I love St Ives! This morning was one of those times where the sense of community was strong. Loads of people gathered on Ramsey Road to watch the very talented Morris dancers perform, and the new benches were filled with children doing craft activities and people chatting and enjoying the sun. We had front row seats from our shop and did sneak out from time to time to get involved!
