The St Andrews Foreign Affairs Conference 2019 is proud to announce the official topic for this year's event: "War as a Profitable Business".

On the evening of February 2nd at the MacDonald Rusacks Hotel, we have invited several expert speakers to give lectures on the economics of warfare and profiteering in conflict zones, exploring practices relating to arms dealing, human trafficking, and more.

We are also happy to introduce you to two of our speakers:

Leah Wawro is a St Andrews alumna, and the current Head of Conflict and Insecurity at Transparency International Defence and Security in London. She brings years of deep knowledge and experience in the international relations sector, where she has focused her efforts on international advocacy and conflict aid through working with a number of nonprofits and volunteer programs.
