This afternoon our ex watch manager Ray Ford along with some of his family collected an award from Spilsby Town Council. It was to reflect and celebrate Rays 40 years commitment to the town via his role at our station. Also very fitting to involve his family in the award as they of course had to make sacrifices when Ray was alerted to an incident anytime day or night.

Thanks to Spilsby Town Council and of course congratulations to Ray & family

πŸš’β˜€οΈ HOT WEATHER SAFETY β˜€οΈπŸš’

With temperatures rising over the next few days, we would like to remind everyone to stay safe during the heatwave.

πŸ”₯ Please avoid campfires, disposable BBQs, and fire pits near grass or woodland areas. Dry conditions mean fires can spread very quickly.

πŸ’§ If visiting lakes, rivers, or reservoirs, remember:
β€’ Cold water can be dangerous even in hot weather
β€’ Never jump into open water
β€’ Don’t swim alone
β€’ Keep children supervised at all times

πŸ“ž In an emergency, call 999.

Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine responsibly β˜€οΈπŸš’

Last night we had a visit by our local Cubs from 2nd Spilsby Scout Group. They all contributed towards the fire safety badge they are working towards. Lots of engagement and plenty of questions that were very interesting and well thought out !

Our crew today marked a minutes silence after returning to station from an incident

While others are running away from danger, firefighters are running towards it. Tragically, some firefighters have paid the ultimate sacrifice keeping people safe.

Today we remember the sacrifice of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty, acknowledging the courage and dedication of generations of firefighters, including those who serve our communities today.

We will never forget their courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment to protecting our communities.
