Man sentenced after three exposure incidents in Spalding.

A man has been sentenced to 10 months in prison after admitting three counts of indecent exposure in Spalding.

Slavcho Iliev, 34, of Monks Road, Lincoln, pleaded guilty to three counts of intentionally exposing his ge****ls to cause alarm or distress under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.

The court heard how Iliev had carried out the exposures toward three separate victims on 3 March, 17 and 18 April last year. The vehicle he was seen driving was reported to us which enabled us to identify and locate him.

He pleaded guilty at a hearing on 11 August, and was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court today, Wednesday 8 September.

He has been served a Sexual Harm Protection Order, and will be required to sign the s*x offenders' register for 10 years.

The officer in charge of this case, Detective Constable Helen Rochford, said: "This offender has been brought before the courts because victims had the confidence to report these incidents. It is essential that such behaviour is reported so that those responsible can be held accountable and measures can be taken to prevent further offending, helping to keep women and girls safe in our communities.

"We recognise that some may underestimate the impact of this type of offending, but every report matters. Details such as when and where the incident occurred, along with descriptions of the suspect and their clothing, and of their vehicle, can play a vital role in helping police identify and apprehend those responsible."

This was an excellent example of how Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) officers and CID worked closely behind the scenes, with NPT officers working tirelessly to review and analyse CCTV footage from across the area. They linked a number of suspected related incidents and built a comprehensive picture of the suspect's movements and behaviour. Drawing on their extensive local knowledge and understanding of crime patterns within the community, officers were able to identify key lines of enquiry and safeguard those potentially at risk. Working closely with local businesses and partners, they tracked the suspect's movements and, when he returned to the county, swiftly detained him before any further offences could be committed.

🚙❗ Vehicle seeks reunion with owner following multi-agency operation in South Holland

Barber shops and retail premises across South Holland have been visited by officers and Trading Standards as part of a targeted operation.

On Saturday 22 August, assisted by a specialist to***co detection dog, officers visited seven premises in the Spalding and surrounding areas.

Pleasingly, at the time of the visits, no evidence of criminality was identified within the stores inspected.

However, the day was not entirely without excitement.

At one location, officers observed a vehicle being driven suspiciously. The driver of the vehicle promptly decided they had other places to be and drove away, temporarily evading police while allegedly committing a number of road traffic offences in the process.

A short while later, the vehicle was found abandoned on Chancery Court, Spalding, having apparently parted company with its owner. Inside, officers discovered two large suitcases containing suspected counterfeit ci******es.

The vehicle itself was also seized after checks suggested it may not have been covered by valid insurance.

🗣️ Trading Standards Principal Trading Standard Officer, Andy Wright, said: “When we found the vehicle we were concerned that there was a suitcase in plain view on the rear passenger seat. Our to***co detection dog indicated the vehicle contained high value items. In order to safeguard the contents, I’m afraid we had to break the window. We currently have two suitcases containing large quantities of illegal ci******es and to***co that were found on the back seat and boot. We are concerned by the number of ci******es and to***co the driver had in his possession. I ask him to contact us so that we can discuss matters further.”

We are appealing for information following a collision in Spalding in which a car failed to stop at the scene.

The collision happened just before 11am today (23 August) at Springfield roundabout, Holbeach Road.

It involved a car – make, model and colour unknown at this stage – and a black MV Agusta Brutale motorbike.

The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with injuries not thought to be life-threatening nor life-altering.

As part of our investigation we are now asking anyone who saw the collision, or who has dashcam footage, to contact us:

A junction in Spalding is closed while emergency services attend a collision involving two vehicles, reported to us at 9.06pm today (21 August).

The junction is near the level crossing, where Woolram Wygate and Sherwood Drive meet Pinchbeck Road.

Drivers should avoid the area while emergency services attend.

🚔 Speed Checks – Keeping Our Roads Safe 🚔

Our Neighbourhood Policing Team have been out completing speed checks across the area.

Alongside our reassurance patrols, community engagements and responding to calls for service, speed checks remain an important part of our work.

Over the last week, officers have carried out checks at:

📍 Six House Bank, West Pinchbeck
📍 Gosberton Road, Surfleet
📍 Low Road, Spalding
📍 Spalding Road, Pinchbeck
📍 Chapel Gate, Sutton St James
📍 Bridge Road Sutton Bridge
📍 Drove Road, Shepeau Stow

Excessive or inappropriate speed can increase the likelihood of a collision and significantly increases the risk of serious injuries at those collisions. Speed checks help officers identify drivers who are putting themselves and the public at unnecessary risk. It also gives officers the opportunity to educate, challenge and where required take enforcement action against speeding drivers.

During the checks officers have:

Issued 9 Traffic Offence Reports for excess speeding offences
Seized 2 E-Scooters and issued the riders with Traffic Offence Reports for Insurance Offences
Issued 7 Traffic Offence Reports for no valid MOT certificates.
One driver is also currently under investigation for disqualified driving and providing false details.

Our team will continue to carry out speed checks in various locations across the South Holland area. Some of the check locations are selected from concerns raised by local residents. Your information is vital to help us understand where speeding is an issue and where our patrols can make the biggest difference.

Community Reassurance Patrols 👮🏼‍♂️ 🚔

This evening officers have been conducting high visibility patrols in and around Flinders Park, Donington, speaking with residents, engaging with the public and keeping a visible presence in areas where we know people have concerns.

These patrols are about listening to our communities, deterring further incidents and taking action where offences are identified. We will continue to patrol these areas and respond to reports of Anti Social Behaviour (ASB). Thank you to everyone who has spoken with officers this evening and continues to work with us to keep communities safe.

The consequences of a head on collision, on a foggy day near Holbeach, were catastrophic. Amy was thrown 60 feet from her bike which ended up embedded in the car, and her bag was found 20 feet up a tree. Her life was cut short in the most horrific and violent way. As part of our campaign, Sam (pictured here to the left of Amy) tells us about the huge hole in her life where her sister should be.

Sam said, “She always wanted to be doing something completely wild and every other week you wouldn't know what she'd planned to do next. I think the last time we spoke before she died, she'd planned out this lovely trip to take her little 125 bike across the Middle East, across Syria.

“That encapsulates Amy as a person. Just absolutely wild.

“I'd portray her as this kind of mad spirit and a bit wild. But as a biker, she was very sensible. She wore all the right gear. She's been around bikes her whole life and knew the importance of being safe on them and especially around where we live, the rural roads.

“As she headed down the road in the in the fog, a car coming in the opposite direction overtook another car. She would have had no chance to stop what was happening. We've seen the pictures of it all. It's absolutely horrifying knowing that a person's body went through that.

“Telling my daughter about Amy dying – I'll never forget that conversation and I had just this crushing guilt that I need to introduce my (at the time) 5-year-old to the concept of death properly and that her Auntie Amy, who she loved to pieces, has died and you'll never see her again.

“The ongoing impact of losing Amy. It's huge and it's so vast across different areas of your life. And it changes as time goes on. To start with, it was just shock. How do I put one foot in front of the other and keep going?

“I miss my sister so much. The ongoing impact really is just a huge sadness and a huge hole that my life carries on around.

“I want Amy's legacy to be that somebody takes a moment and thinks what happened to her you could so easily cause to happen to someone else and you could be the safest driver in the world. But it's that one decision. You take that chance and Amy could be coming in the other direction. Somebody's Amy, your Amy, could be coming in that direction.

“And then that's it. That's somebody's life over. That's your whole life changed as well.”

These words from Amy’s sister, Sam, are taken from a new road safety video which shows the utter devastation that can be caused by a split-second decision on the road.

We are appealing for information after an elderly man was targeted in a distraction burglary at his home on Dick Turpin Way, Long Sutton.

We are appealing for information after an elderly man was targeted in a distraction burglary in Long Sutton.

At around 8.30pm on Tuesday 11 August, an 89-year-old man was at his home on Dick Turpin Way when an unknown woman entered through the rear door and claimed she was a carer checking on his welfare because of the recent hot weather.

The woman persuaded him to take a shower and offered to wash his hair. While the victim's eyes were closed, it is believed she stole his wallet from the bathroom, taking £125 in cash before leaving the property. The wallet was later found discarded inside the house.

Detectives believe the suspect may have carried out similar offences and are keen to hear from anyone who may have had a similar experience or who saw anything suspicious in the area that evening.

We are particularly interested in hearing from residents on Dick Turpin Way and surrounding streets who may have doorbell, CCTV or dashcam footage from between 8pm and 9pm on Tuesday 11 August.

We are also urging people to check in on elderly relatives, neighbours and other vulnerable members of their community who may be at greater risk of becoming victims of this type of crime. A simple conversation about doorstep safety and the importance of verifying someone's identity could help prevent someone else from becoming a victim.
