At our recent awards night we welcomed 2 new Cpls to our ranks. Cpl Debney and Cpl Wingfield.
Both have shown great leadership and teamwork over the past 6 months and has been a role model for fellow cadets on the squadron.
We wish them both the best of luck in the next chapter of their cadet experience.

This week we welcomed ex 1406 cadet Captain Lee Haunch to the squadron to give a talk to our cadets about his role in Elementary Flying Training for RAF pilots. Captain Haunch explained the processes and courses that trainee pilots have to go through to give our cadets an understanding of the system. The talk was very interesting and hopefully inspired some of our cadets to become pilots themselves!

This week two more cadets received certificates for passing their Master Cadet classification exam.

The master cadet classification is the highest Classification level in the RAFAC syllabus. It represents the "graduation" from formal aviation ground school.

This weekend 5 cadets competed in the Trent wing 5 a side football competition. The whole team put in all their efforts, getting them into the finals.

The first match was won 1-0. 🏅
The second match was won 6-1. 🏅

After a instense final 1406 (Spalding) Squadron came 2nd overall in wing, with the final score being 3-1. Thank you Trent Wing Air Cadets for organising the event.

Well done to all the cadets who competed. 👏
