Please come support South Holland Scout District open day today, at Pecks Drove Campsite.

Volunteers throughout the district have been working tirelessly to refresh the site, so please come visit this amazing site.

“We have refreshments, bouncy castle, ice cream van and lots of stalls, entrance is free, there are some free activities but some have a small fee which goes back to scouts.

We have a Tombola that is a prize every time. But also an amazing raffle £1 a ticket. With over 50 prizes including Free MOT, afternoon tea, £20 & £10 gift vouchers for various local businesses. Plus lots of gift items.”

Thank you South Holland Scout District for inviting me to join in again for this year’s Trailjam.

The weather was beautiful, which made a perfect day for Trailjam 2026!
It was lovely chatting to Young people and adults from each group across District taking part in this event.

Been working on this since last year & I'm over the moon to announce 150 New secondary school places coming to Holbeach.

Minerva House next door to UAH will be re-purposed to give more classroom space for the Trust.

Cost saving for us and great for local families.

An additional 150 secondary school places are being created at the University Academy Holbeach (UAH), after a lease was agreed on Minerva House.

💷 HEATING OIL COST SUPPORT 💷

We know many households are facing real pressure with rising living costs, which is why putting residents first means ensuring support reaches those who need it most.

Through Lincolnshire County Council’s Crisis Resilience Fund, £300 Heating Oil Support vouchers are now available for eligible Lincolnshire households struggling with heating costs.

I’m am absolutely delighted having given the Pothole Pro a proper trial, we have another tool in our arsenal to get our County’s potholes fixed.

The A17 is a prime example where they only had to close 1 lane to carry out the repairs, rather than a full closure.

A council has taken on a machine to fix potholes that it had previously rejected. The Pothole Pro was trialled by Lincolnshire County Council in 2021 but deemed not to offer good value for money. Apply for school transport before it’s too late 🚍

If your child is starting primary or secondary school this September, don’t forget to apply for school transport once their place is confirmed.

⏰ Key deadlines
• Reception – Year 11: 31 May
• Post-16: 31 July

Applying by the deadline helps make sure transport is in place for the start of term. Late applications will still be processed, but travel arrangements may not be ready for day one.
