Another year another fete! The weather was fantastic, the stalls and refreshments were great, the entertainment was outstanding, the cars were a wonder and the tug of war teams were … interesting!

But most of all the people who attended were smiling and that’s what we do it for - so thank you for coming along

Work is complete in the community park - for now! - and we have an extended car park, two new picnic benches and four other benches for all to use and enjoy.

An update regarding “bingate” - work is in progress…

🚛♻️ We're getting ready for the biggest changes to waste and recycling collections in many years.

Behind the scenes, work is continuing at pace to prepare for the introduction of our new waste and recycling service, including the delivery of thousands of new bins, recruitment of additional staff and upgrades to our depot facilities.

These changes will help us recycle more, reduce waste and create a cleaner, greener South Holland for everyone.

We have noticed that some people are asking if there is going to be a YARD SALE in Fleet this year.

The answer is “YES” if you would like to take part

It will be on 16 August 2026 starting at 10am

We are also able to offer an alternative if you don’t want to sell at home .. you are welcome to set a stall up in the new car park at the playing field

The sale is open to all residents of Fleet Parish

Although we won’t charge to include you on the map etc - any donations will go towards further improvements in the parish. Previous donations have gone toward the new benches being installed in the park

Work is progressing well with the car park extension and the bases for several new benches.

Hopefully, concrete for the bases will be poured on Monday and the contractor is planning to be finished by Wednesday.

A few days to let the concrete set and then bench installation just in time for the fete.

It’s non-stop with Fleet Parish Council!!!

As from 01 June- the Royal British Legion will be offering Tea / Coffee at the Pavilion in Fleet Hargate Park

They will be open 10am -12 noon on Monday’s and Thursday’s

So why not take a stroll and go and support them - have a drink, take a seat and enjoy!

Despite the searing heat the contractor has made good progress with the works in the park today ….

Just the coat hooks and benches to go back in now - so our "new" pavilion is ready for use. If anyone would like to organise park runs, walking groups, youth activities, football teams, womble groups etc. etc. and use this as a base please get in touch - we would love to hear from you
