🚛 Filling a Skip: Right vs Wrong 🧱
Not all skip loads are created equal! Loading your skip properly saves space, money, and hassle 👇
✅ The RIGHT Way:
• Start with flat, heavy items at the bottom (soil, bricks, concrete)
• Break down bulky waste (furniture, boxes) to save space
• Fill gaps with smaller items to avoid air pockets
• Keep weight evenly distributed
• Stop at the fill line – overfilling can mean extra charges or collection refusal
❌ The WRONG Way:
• Tossing everything in randomly
• Leaving large empty spaces between items
• Overloading one side (dangerous for lifting)
• Sticking items out over the top
• Mixing prohibited waste (paint, tyres, asbestos, chemicals)
