This is a key role for someone who thrives in a learning environment, brings energy to training delivery, and is dedicated to developing the skills and confidence of others.

In this role, you’ll design, deliver and coordinate engaging FREC training programmes, supporting responders to provide effective lifesaving interventions. You’ll work closely with colleagues, partners and stakeholders to maintain high standards, ensure compliance, and continuously improve training delivery across the Service.

We are currently in attendance at a large fire in Ranskill, where scrap cars and a crusher are well alight.

Local residents are advised to keep their doors and windows shut, and we ask that people avoid the area.

Firefighters are working hard on scene to extinguish the fire, however we predict to be on site for several hours at least.

The crew were called out today to help this Deer that had got itself into abit of pickle. Using a sheet to calm it down we were able to get the Deer out safetly. We are also pleased to report it soon ran off enjoying its new sense of freedom. 🦌

We’re looking for a practical and motivated individual who enjoys hands‑on work and wants to play a vital role in supporting community safety. This is an opportunity to work both independently and as part of a supportive team, helping ensure our hydrants, equipment and safety systems are maintained to the highest standards across Nottinghamshire.

In this role, you’ll carry out inspections, repairs and maintenance on fire hydrants and specialist equipment, working both outdoors and on-site. You’ll contribute directly to operational readiness by maintaining essential assets, solving practical problems and ensuring accurate records are kept — all while working to high safety and service standards.

⏰ 37 hours per week (Monday–Friday)
📍 Warsop Fire Station, Mansfield (NG20 0AU) – with flexibility across locations
