Its National Volunteers Week this week and we would like to take the opportunity to thank those who have volunteered for us in the past and 'hello and welcome' to anyone joining us recently or interested in getting involved in supporting our services across Sefton.

Wow - it has been a hot one today. Our outreach team were out early to offer accommodation options along with water to anyone not currently engaging with services.

We are out every day providing a range of options to people who are street homeless and offering support from our Health Inclusion Service and signposting to colleagues in other agencies.

Whilst Light for Life is commissioned to provide a range of services for people experiencing homelessness in Sefton, we are a charity and as such rely on charitable giving to support some of our work.

We are also always in need of:

Toiletries
New socks and underwear (ladies and gents)
Non perishable food items

Please consider Light for Life and our service users if you are thinking about helping those in need in the community and THANK YOU to all of those who do this every week/month - we are incredibly grateful ❤️

Today sees the introduction of the Renters Rights Act - pop in to our HUB to find out how this may assist you if you are experiencing difficulties as a tenant. There are changes to rent increases, evictions and consideration to pets - come and see us and see how Light for Life can help.

Whilst our CEO, (60 year old Mum, Nana, Aunt and Sister) continues training for Running the Wall in Croatia later this month, she is aware of other fundraising activity in Southport which is so very important. We are aware of the situation with Queenscourt Hospice and as a result, we will not be using the race as a fundraising opportunity and wish others well in their endeavours. If anyone wishes to donate privately to support our outreach work - please do get in touch. Thank you so very much to our supporters - your help makes all the difference ❤️ and wishing, hoping and praying for the outcome we need for Queenscourt Hospice.
