The Southend-on-Sea RNLI Shop are now stocked with Christmas themed items. Remember to have a browse on your next visit and discover some festive favourites. ✨🧣

Located at the pier head, the Southend-on-Sea RNLI Shop supports the amazing work by the RNLI Southend Lifeboat. The shop is run by fab volunteers and all profits fuel the lifesaving work of the RNLI. 🚤🌊

This week's journey takes us all the way back to around 1905, what a view! 👀

In this fascinating snapshot, you can see the pier stretching proudly into the estuary, along with the elegant Pier Hill bandstand. Built in 1898, the bandstand was a popular feature of the seafront skyline before being removed in 1921 and re-erected in Chalkwell Park.
