👀🤩Look at the wonderful new, shiny collection of Cressida Cowell, How to Train Your Dragon books that has arrived in the library today!🐉🐲 Why not pop in and pick one up!

How to Train Your Dragon is a series of children's books written by the British author Cressida Cowell. The books are set in a fictional Fantasy Viking world, and focus on the experiences of protagonist Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third, as he overcomes obstacles on his journey of "becoming a hero, the hard way!"

Come down to West End Library, pick some new books, join in on Rhymetime, play some games, and then cool down with a refreshing ice pole once you have completed the amazing trail the West End Parish Council Grounds and Maintenance Team have made to get into the Spirit of Read to the Beat🎹🎶❤️

The Summer Reading Challenge Trail in Hatch Grange is now open 📚

Pick up a sheet from The Hatch Cafe West End and explore the top field (behind the Parish Centre) to locate the 6 characters and answer the questions on the activity sheet.

Return your sheet to get a free ice-pole from the cafe ☀️

Big shout out to the West End Parish Council Grounds & Maintenence manager for designing and installing the trail. The characters are really fun, and we hope it inspires even more children to get involved with the

Today we have had our Neighbourhood Policing Team, PCSO's Tracey, Mica and Colin visiting the library. They have been very busy registering and marking lots of bikes as well as being available for a chat and advice in their Beat Surgery. It was lovely to see so many people coming out in the sunshine to take advantage of this event.
