Don't forget, every Monday at 1pm we host a New Parent Meet!🥰

This is a free, supportive session meant for parents to bond with their babies and connect with other parents.☺️

Let your baby have sensory play while you have a much needed adult conversation!❣️

📚Author of the Month 📚

Len Deighton was a prolific British author, best known for his gritty and realistic Cold War Spy stories. Deighton redefined the genre in the 1960s and introduced us to a new kind of spy: working-class, cynical and very tough... and brilliantly portrayed by Michael Caine when the books became films. Being a spy suddenly became very cool indeed!

We have some of his titles here, but there are plenty to reserve on Borrow Box too.

👀Looking for something different to read? We have 3 new pop up collections here in Hedge End!

🕵️‍♀️Cosy Crime Collection - More light hearted than your traditional crime authors. If you enjoyed the Thursday Murder Club series then this could be for you.

🌎 Reading Across Borders - Challenge your perspective with translated fiction from around the world. Here at Hedge End we particularly love a Japanese translation.

🍜 World Food - Read, cook and eat your way round the world with books that celebrate food, culture and community.

Whatever you're into, read into it.

Hear from one of our volunteers: 'I volunteer at the library because I genuinely enjoy it. I feel part of the team, and running the popular ChatAbout sessions gives me a chance to help bring people together. It's a small thing, but it means a lot.'
