We are open today - 1-4:30pm :) *
Library membership is free - you can join from ages 0-99! Your library card is valid in all 11 libraries in Southampton. If we don't have what you are seeking in our community-run branch, and it is available in other libraries, you can have books/audio books sent to us for collection, free of charge!

* up date - library may be opening a bit later today at 2pm.

Hi folkx, Ziggy here, one of the library volunteers... thanks to another one of our volunteers, Lindsi Bluemel, i am aiming to increase the amount of books i read... :) So here's what i've read most recently & am reading now...
Firstly, i've just finished the next installment in 'The Rivers of London' series by Ben Aaronovitch... (- almost finished it in one sitting :) we don't have the whole series here but you can request books, FOR FREE, from any of the other 10 libraries in Southampton - though you do need to be a member (which is also FREE...:) - Started a new book today - 'Move Like Water' by Hannah Stowe, which is enchanting - telling the story of a childhood growing up on the Pembrokeshire coast, and adult adventures to track & record whale biology etc across the trackless oceans...
Please help our wee library out by joining as a member, and taking books out! If the written word is not for you, we have audio books as well, and books in large print too. We're next open on Tues 2nd June, 1-4:30pm - see you there?

Today Lindsi Bluemel & i:
Found all the books on the stock rotation & shelf check assigned lists (latter is books people have requested in from other libraries in the SCC network)
Set out the sensory play area for parents & toddlers
Signed a child up for their first library card
Helped someone type up a letter on one of the computers
Showed a parent & child how to play 'Uno' :)
Spot cleaned woodwork & windows
Spot cleaned & tidied the 'white room' ready for the tuition group
All in all, a good session.
We are open again tomorrow, Weds 20th, 1-4:30pm and again on Friday 22nd, 1-4:30pm.. We're not open this weekend or Mon 25th & will be back again on Tues 26th, 1-4:30pm & set up for the parent & toddler sensory play area (2-3pm) and the board games hours (3-4pm) See you around!
