For Hampshire-based q***r writer/performer Ri Baroche's current theatre project, she's looking to bring together residents from across Hampshire to share their thoughts, ideas, and creative input to develop the story and script for a new musical-comedy about climate change.

The sessions will cover writing and improv activities in a supportive atmosphere, helping to bring your ideas to live to feed into the show's development. We'll have contributions from local climate science and sustainability academics Dr Ian Williams and Prof Denise Baden, as well as from Southampton National Park City.

And for those who are interested, we're then looking for local voices to be part of the final piece! Recording will take place at MAST Mayflower Studios, Southampton between 12-4pm on Mon 10th March.

All ready for Southampton Pride tomorrow where we will be supporting the Fossil Free Pride campaign!

Southampton Pride and New Forest Pride recently dropped their fossil fuel sponsors. We’re calling on all other Hampshire Prides to follow their good example - and for every Pride event to join People's Pride Southampton in signing the Fossil Free Pride pledge.

It's been really positive to see two local pride events – Southampton Pride and New Forest Pride – drop their fossil fuel sponsors in the past few weeks. We hope others, like Bournemouth Pride (this year sponsored by JPMorgan), will follow suit at their own future events as well. And we hope all Hampshire prides will sign up to the Fossil Free Pride Pledge so we can kick fossil fuel companies out of pride for good.

Last week, Southampton Pride dropped ExxonMobil from their sponsors list. Now New Forest Pride have done the same.

THANK YOU to the organisers of both events for listening to concerns from the community and sending a clear signal that, in a time of escalating climate emergency, fossil fuel companies are no longer welcome at Pride.

Fantastic to see that, in response to our open letter, Southampton Pride has dropped its fossil fuel sponsors! Thank you for doing the right thing. And thank you to everyone who supported our campaign.

No pride on a dead planet: our open letter to Southampton Pride asking them to cut their fossil fuel ties.

Southampton Pride is currently sponsored by the oil and gas company ExxonMobil and the fossil fuel funder HSBC. We are LGBT+ community members who believe that there should be no place at pride for companies that are directly contributing to the climate emergency.

That's why we're urging Southampton Pride to be on the right side of history and kick fossil fuels out of pride.
