Very proud of Tom!

Tom lives in Westoe and gives so much back to his community. This honour couldn’t be more deserved.

Thrilled to hear that Andy Burnham has been selected as the Labour Party candidate for the Makerfield by-election.

I met Andy last month while on the James tour. He came across as a really lovely and genuine man. It was great to chat to him not only about politics but our shared love for live music.

Good luck Andy 🌹

Following my report to South Tyneside Council the pothole on Mowbray Road has now been filled.

However, this doesn’t solve the bigger problem. This road needs resurfacing to bring it up to a proper standard.

I will continue to challenge the council on this matter until the proper works are done.

Thanks to Cllr Kate Owens-Palmer also for her swift action on this matter. Westoe appreciates it.

When will the roads be fixed? That’s the question.

Today I found this large rock which came from the middle of Mowbray Road and had been thrown onto parking stand where cars could be parked.

I have reported this to highways and when the contact details become available I will be contacting the newly elected councillors to see what they will be doing about the disrepair of roads in Westoe.

I have emailed Cllr Owens-Palmer and hope to hear from her soon.
