🚧 Exciting Progress at South Street Recreation Ground! 🚧

We are excited to share this video showing work underway on our brand-new Pump Track!

This fantastic new facility will be the first pump track in Bolsover District Council, providing a fun, inclusive, and exciting space for riders of all ages and abilities to enjoy.

The project is taking shape beautifully, and we can't wait to see the finished track being enjoyed by the community. Keep an eye on our page for further updates as construction progresses.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in helping bring this exciting new addition to South Normanton to life.

South Normanton Parish Council is saddened to hear of the passing of Alderman Raymond Brooks, aged 94, on 27th April 2026.
Raymond dedicated many years of service to both South Normanton Parish Council and Bolsover District Council, proudly representing the community he lived in and loved throughout his life. In recognition of his commitment, he was awarded the title of Alderman in 2015.
He was a well-known and valued member of the South Normanton community for decades as a local newsagent, School Governor, and one of the founders of South Normanton CIC and The Post Mill Centre.
The funeral service will take place on Wednesday 3 June 2026 at 2.30pm at Swanwick Crematorium, followed by a gathering at The Post Mill Centre, South Normanton. Donations are to Alzheimer’s Research UK.
The Council extends its sincere condolences to Raymond’s family and friends at this difficult time.

πŸŽ‰β˜• Pensioners Tea Party at the Post Mill Centre- 25th April 2026 β˜•πŸŽ‰

What a fantastic evening at the Pensioners Tea Party at the Post Mill Centre! Everyone had a wonderful time enjoying a delicious 3-course meal, bingo, and special prizes for the oldest gentleman, oldest lady, and the longest married couple.

The entertainment from Tony Marx was excellent and had everyone smiling, dancing and laughing.

A huge thank you to the Post Mill Centre for the lovely food, Churches Together for their support, and our Parish Councillors for all their help on the day. It was a truly enjoyable evening for all involved.
